Homes England’s plan for a 10,000 plus housing development ‘West of Ifield’ makes perfect sense only if we accept its insanity (“Frustration over lack of answers” and “Create Gatwick nature reserve”, Letters, Feb 6).
We are being asked to accept “ten per cent biodiversity net gain” and “50 per cent Green Space” while destroying Ifield Golf Course and its Ancient Woodland – and killing its wildlife to extinction. Well, we do not accept this insanity.
This monstrous Homes England plan is beyond nonsense and needs to be ‘blown out of the water’ at the earliest opportunity.
The only way to avert an environmental catastrophe in Horsham and Crawley at Ifield is to create a Gatwick Local Nature Reserve.
