JUNE 1 2020 – A SHORT PROTEST – ‘BEYOND BULLYING’ – IS PLANNED THIS FRIDAY [JUNE 5 2020] OUTSIDE THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING, COMMUNITIES & LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN THEATRE LANE, CHICHESTER BETWEEN MIDDAY AND 12.30PM

A short protest – ‘Beyond Bullying’ – is planned this Friday [June 5 2020] outside the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government at 4-5 Theatre Place, Theatre Lane, Chichester between Midday and 12.30pm.

Why?

To protest at Homes England’s £3bn masterplan for 10,000 houses between Horsham and Crawley in West Sussex.

With the Government’s rejection – again – of the urgent appeal by Horsham District Council [HDC] to reduce housing targets, there is very deep concern this will inevitably lead to a breach of the democratic planning process when HDC finally meet to decide which sites to allocate for development. In other words, the only way to meet these insanely-high targets imposed by this developer-led Government is to ‘green-light’ Homes England’s £3bn masterplan.

There is also deep, continuing concern that the former Homes England Chairman Sir Edward Lister has become the Government’s Chief Strategic Adviser.

It is hoped this short protest will help spark a Public Inquiry or a Judicial Review
