DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONS SHELVED BY GOVERNMENT: “BAD NEWS FOR HOMES ENGLAND AND THOSE DEVELOPERS SEEKING TO BYPASS LOCAL COUNCIL PLANNING RULES”

Dear Editor

A system of development corporations, in which Homes England were to play a central role, has now been shelved by the government [“Hope protest sparks inquiry”, WSCT Letters, June 25].

This is bad news for Homes England and those developers who seek to bypass local council planning rules, and good news for those in local communities who seek to play by the rules.

Yours sincerely
