I trust you are all keeping well during lockdown. It is eerily quiet here, however, it has been good to see some members pop up for a walk in the grounds.
During the last lockdown I announced that the owners of Cottesmore Hotel, Golf & country Club were considering a long term shift in direction by offering up the golf course to Horsham District Council for residential development, much in line with proposals from other local golf courses, Ifield and Rookwood. The council have since requested further information about the site so they may consider it amongst the other strategic sites available. The developer, A2 Dominion, have today submitted a vision document to the Council with a proposal of what a development at Cottesmore may look like. The current hotel, health club, beauty salon and function business would all be retained within substantial grounds whilst new facilities are added to compliment the realigned Hotel & Country Club for the future alongside the newly created Cottesmore Village.

I am aware that my timing is poor in the current climate, however, I would rather continue to be transparent and ensure you hear any developments from myself rather than from any other source.
I must stress that this is a long term plan and in no way changes our current outlook or offering at Cottesmore. If the proposal were to go ahead and pass through the rigorous planning process the developer is contracted to provide a 12 month notice period before any works may commence.
