“HOMES ENGLAND PLANS £3BN CRAWLEY GARDEN VILLAGE” – WEST OF IFIELD – ESTATES GAZETTE INTELLIGENCE [EGI] – EMMA ROSSER – The Ifield Society

“So, Homes England were SO determined not to listen to those representing the 5,500 people who signed a petition that they had their normally accessible offices locked down, bought in five additional security guards, refused to meet with campaigners or receive the petition and basically hid behind the barricades. Do we look that frightening? Well done Homes England – good to know you’re listening”

Cllr. Alison Cornell

“If that’s how disgracefully Homes England behave, just imagine how they will behave if they get planning permission on land which they ‘own’ West of Ifield”

Richard W. Symonds

As co-organiser of last Thursday’s legitimate protest outside the Homes England London HQ at 50 Victoria Street – notified to the Metropolitan Police as required by law – I was appalled by Homes England’s treatment of the protesters [which included a county councillor, a child, and a number of elderly people].

Having taken the trouble to travel up to London in torrential rain to deliver a Letter and Petition, the peaceful protesters were met by five security guards and a refusal to allow delivery of the Letter and Petition.

If this is the way representatives of a local community are treated by Homes England, how will they treat the local community if Horsham District Council give them planning permission to build 10,000 houses West of Ifield next month?
