SEPTEMBER 11 2024 – WATER NEUTRALITY: ‘DISTURBING READ’ – CRAWLEY OBSERVER – LETTERS – SEPT 11

LETTER [PUBLISHED] – ‘DISTURBING READ’ – CRAWLEY OBSERVER – SEPTEMBER 11 2024

Dear Editor

As this Water Neutrality article was written by Crawley Borough Council’s Communications Manager [‘Water rules hit housing’, Crawley Observer, Sept 4]. this raises a very serious question as to whether or not the article corresponds to official or unofficial Council policy.

Either way, it is a deeply disturbing read.

LETTER [UNPUBLISHED] – WEST SUSSEX COUNTY TIMES – SEPTEMBER 12 2024

Dear Editor

“We were glad to hear John Milne reiterate his opposition to Homes England’s medium-term plan for 10,000 new houses between Horsham and Crawley, creating Crawsham” [‘Save West of Ifield (SWOI) attend CPRE Countryside Day at Knepp Estate’, Sussex World, Sept 10].
If that is the case, then why is the Horsham MP not opposing the short-term 3,000+ West of Ifield development – which is, and always has been, the ‘first phase’ of Homes England’s monstrous 10,000 masterplan?
Such questions must be asked – and answered – especially with the growing evidence that Homes England’s masterplan is in direct breach of Natural England’s legal directives regarding Water Neutrality [‘Disturbing read’, Crawley Observer Letters, Sept 11]
